BRAJ KALA KENDRA is an approved NGO exclusively committed and devoted for the preservance and development of Braj Culture , Art Literature, Heritage of Shri Krishna, Buddha, Jain cultures & great saints of Braj. It was established in 1962 by Late Shri Ram Narayan Agarwal “Bhayyia Ji” & it’s founder president was Late Shri Seth Govind Das ji, Padam Bhushan, lifelong member of Parliament and Speaker of Lok Sabha after Independence. It was formally inaugurated by Shri Morarji Desai at Sapru House, Delhi. In its formative years it had the blessing of Dr. Rajendra Prasad & Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. It is the oldest cultural organisation of Braj and working since more than 50 years. It is a registered body under Societies Act and approved under I.T. Act for Tax exemption under 12 A & 80 G. It's having branches at Mathura & Delhi. It is recognized by the centre, U.P., M.P. & Rajasthan Goverments.

Braj Kala Kendra has taken a grand project of developing “Braj Dham culture centre and research institute” at mathura. This center’s activities will be devoted to protect, promote and develop the Braj art, culture, literature and heritage. It will have facilities like conference rooms, residence facilities for artists, library, up keeping of archives and exhibition hall in addition to a 600-seat air-conditioned auditorium equipped with all modern facilities which is nearing completion. The centre is being developed at 4000 sq. yards land which was donated by Seth Moti Lal Ji Shorawala. This center shall be an exclusive place of its kind in whole Braj Area.

To promote music & dance, BKK has established an institute “Braj Sangeet Vidyapeeth” which is well recognized by institutions & Universities. It is devoted for the education of vocal & instrumental, music, dance & drama.
